Lauren Petersen
Lead Pastor
Pastor Lauren Petersen started in July of 2024. Lauren, her husband Jacob, and her two daughters, Nora and Anna, live on a farm about 20 minutes west of Attica where they raise sheep, cattle, and a menagerie of other livestock.
Lauren was raised in the United Methodist Church in Des Moines. She found her calling into ministry after working with the Knoxville UMC as their Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry. Today, Lauren enjoys working half time as the Pastor for Attica and Zion UMC’s and fills the rest of her work week at Knoxville UMC leading the children and youth programs.
